The Star Inn At Harome

The Star Inn Restaurant is currently closed following a major fire on 24th November 2021, which had a devastating effect on our lovely old thatched Dining Room and Pub. Rebuilding works commence on 16th May 2022 and we envisage reopening the Restaurant fully in late autumn 2022. Please follow us on social media for further announcements.

Cross House Lodge, our rustic, rural retreat, was unaffected by the fire and we are accepting individual hotel bookings on a Bed and Breakfast basis. Owing to the major fire, we have a severe lack of dining area in our Restaurant and are currently unable to offer Dinner for individual bookings in Cross House Lodge, so have joined forces with our friends down the road at the fabulous Pheasant Hotel. Some Star Inn staff will be helping out at The Pheasant, so you may see familiar faces and the odd familiar dish on their menu.

During the current period, we are inviting enquiries for Group Bookings of up to 13 double rooms with dining in the Wheelhouse at Cross House Lodge. Please enquire direct for available dates!

Cross House Lodge…

This unique thirteen-bedroomed hotel is literally across the road from the Star Inn Restaurant. All thirteen rooms are highly individual, many with quirky features, such as Room 1's bath at the end of the bed, or Room 4's rope-slung bed, whilst Room 5 has its own snooker table and Room 8 its own piano - take a look and choose your favourite! For canine guests, accommodation can be offered in Rooms 6, 7 and 8. Our newly built Barn block of 4 rooms opened for bookings in September 2020.

Breakfast is taken in the Wheelhouse at Cross House Lodge at the huge table under the beautiful beamed ceiling with the option of al fresco breakfasting on the Terrace in good weather. Whilst we cannot currently offer dinner owing to the major fire at our Restaurant, we can facilitate dinner reservations at The Pheasant Hotel, just a short stroll through the village
